    Adventure Fishing Charters

This half day fishing trip is one of the best things I've done. Phil, the owner, is an amazing fisherman, and well known on the island. When we stopped to fish the other locals gathered around the boat knowing that it would be the best spot.

This is a really unique cool place. A vineyard with amazing grounds and the best flying foxes I've seen. The staff are full of local knowledge and will pick you up from anywhere on the island. Just brilliant.

    Peacock Sky Vineyard Restaurant

One of the better vineyards on the island. I absolutely love the fact the wine tastings are paired with amazing food. The wines are brilliant. There is an atrium area which is great for a private party.

This lovely “boutique” vineyard is charming. Food and wine a real treat, beautiful tapas and a very delicious Paella. If you didn't know different, you could be in a vineyard in Spain.

This is an amazing wee restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and the food is incredible. There is a set menu if you wish for $70 a head, which seems very good value. Well worth driving down a dirt road to get there.

Beautiful ocean-view restaurant verandah and yummy food!

Good family nosh right on the beach. Great smoothies too!

    Other Side of the Island

Be sure to visit the other side of the island that is less populated. It's stunning and very beautiful with amazing beaches.

    Viewing the Island

Rent a scooter to view the island. It's a great way to get around.

    Little Oneroa Beach

During the summer months a wood fire pizza van sits in the car park at Little Oneroa Beach. Worth a try - the pizzas are delicious.

    Great bus service

There is a great bus service running all over the island. It leaves from the ferry terminal and goes all the way to Onetangi through Oneroa.

    Ferry to Oneroa

It is possible to walk from the Ferry Terminal to Oneroa and you don't have to catch a taxi or bus. It's a lovely walk and not too far.
