    Body Sanctum Day Spa

The perfect way to unwind after a skiing holiday. Talented, charming therapists and a calm and soothing decor.

This is sited at the base of the Gondola, and so you can easily visit both. There is a connection between the them, so if you get a double tickets for both the gondola and the Kiwi Park, its about $5 cheaper, however the gondola people won't sell tickets to the kiwi park, so the double tickets must be purchased from the kiwi park.

I travelled up in the Gondola in the late afternoon, did heaps of rides on the luge before going to the Maori Cultural show and the buffet dinner in the restaurant. All of the above was fantastic and well worth it.

    Captains Restaurant

Bang in the middle of the shopping area, Captains offers a smart but affordable dining option amongst a number of less formal pubs and cafes in central Queenstown. Outdoor dining is an option as well as large semi-private table in-back. Definitely worth a visit.

This gem of a restaurant is hidden down a small lane, but well signed. It's quite small and intimate. The food is superb. The service is good and the wine list extensive. It gets incredibly busy so booking is essential.

Nice lakeside bar in the historic Eichardt's hotel. The menu is tapas style, really good lamb cheek. It has a great view of the lake leading to the mountains.

Hidden away in a cottage on the waterfront, is this unpretentiously opulent gem offering a truly amazing dining experience. Not cheap and not at all recommended for children or vegetarians, but otherwise somewhere to celebrate something special, or simply because you want to treat yourself to fresh bluff oysters with a glass of perfectly matched local Sauvignon Blanc.

Take a rental and drive along the side of Lake Wakatipu for 50 minutes to Glenorchy. Here is where you will see some of the areas best scenery. You can drive beyond the town into the national park. Or you can take a jet boat ride up into Southern Alps. What every you do you will need more than half a day to absorb this wonderful area, otherwise known as Paradise.
