    Monte Da Ribeira

This is an incredible horse riding school and stables. The staff are super friendly and competent and the animals are beautifully looked after. They offer treks as short as 30 minutes or you can stay there for several days.

It is possible to walk along a gorgeous stoney path amoungst coastal vegetation and cliffs from beach to beach. This is a lovely walk and great views as well. There are little cafes and beach side bars along the way. We walked from Albufeira's main beach to Oura Beach, had a lovely lunch and then walked home.

World of Discoveries - Museu Interativo & Parque Tematico

This is a really cool, new age, interactive museum with heaps of exhibitions and displays showing Portugal's history. Very new and worth a visit.

    Villamoura Marina

Something for everyone here as not only is it a lovely walk around it is the main centre of activity with a huge range of restaurants, bars and shops.

This is a great market with mainly food but a few other things as well such as belts and clothes. The smell is wonderful and it is great to just come and have a wander around. We came away with a bottle of beautiful wine and a loaf of delicious homemade bread!

    Birds Nest Restaurant

A beautiful wee restaurant with incredible Mediterranean food. The friendly lady who owns it makes you feel like you're at home. It's very busy with only about ten tables so you must book.

It's the perfect spot on the Douro riverside to taste the best portuguese wines and typical deli food. Great staff.

The roof top terrace over looks the beach and is a stunning place to eat traditional stone baked Italian Pizzas and sip on ice cold beer as they put their beer glasses in the freezer! Child friendly too! Highly reccommend! Good value for money.

We can here based on the reviews we had read about Il Trio and we not dissappointed in the slightest! What delicious pizzas and italian food they serve! We can't recommend it enough! A Must!!

An amazing place in the heart of town. Known for its vegetarian dishes. It's worth getting there early or you will have to queue.

    Roasted Chicken at the Supermarket

The supermarket we were near did the most delicious roasted chicken, for 3-4 euros. Great for a night when you didn't want to go out and just fancied a chicken salad and local bread to go with!

    Porto Airport

The airport is north of the city and takes 20 minutes from the centro (with no traffic).

    City Centro

The centre is a large sqaure surround by old and very grand buildings. It is truely beautiful.

    Explore the River Douro

The Douro river valley is very scenic, wether you take one of the tours or just do one of the many walks.

    Explore Trilho da Fonte Benemola

This lovely reserve is about 10km from Loule. t's a lovely walk surrounded by carob trees, oaks and so much more. The sound coming from the falls can be heard a ways off before finding it.
